- Big Chief Studios - James Bond - a very big disappointment and a 250USD fail
Michael Stradford posted on FB OSR group:
"Really disappointed with the Big Chief James Bond from 'Goldfinger'. The body has limited mobility, the shoulders on the suit look like the broad shouldered Connery has none. These photos are taken after I padded the shoulders as best I could, but the jacket still doesn't fit the body right.
The detail in the suit had dozens of black threads dangling from the seams that I trimmed off. The likeness is ok, but dark. I prefer my nondescript, disheveled kitbashed Connery over this one.
One would have thought after Yunsil set the bar with tailoring the best 1/6 scale Connery ever seen (see last photo), a company like Big Chief would have at least got close to it. There's no comparison. I've seen other figures that they've done, and a lot of that work is nice. They really missed the boat this time, unfortunately. I wish I could find one of Yunsil's that didn't break the bank"
